    If you'd like to use an extension for which you have the URL
    1. Start a new wave, or open the one you'd like to add to.
    2. Go to the section of the wave to which you'd like to add the gadget.
    3. In the compose window toolbar, click the Insert Gadget puzzle piece.
    4. Enter in the box the URL for the gadget you'd like to add.

    You add the email adress as a normal contact, the “+” sign on the bottom left in Google Wave, next to where it says “Manage contacts”. Voila :)
